Richard J. Walter, a professor emeritus and former chair of history in Arts & Sciences, died Aug. 11 at Mercy Hospital St. Louis. He was 85. Visitation will take place 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, at the Lupton Chapel in St. Louis.
