Riding the wave of success

FoodShare, the brainchild of Washington University in St. Louis students Andrew Glantz and Jacob Mohrmann, and Dartmouth student Aidan Folbe, is riding a wave of success — from recent wins at the Global Student Entrepreneurship Awards to placing in the top 3 among student startups in the Startup Madness competition at SXSW in Austin, Texas, in March.

FoodShare is an app that allows users to snap pictures of their meals at participating restaurants. Each time a user dines at a participating restaurant and takes a photo, through a partnership with Operation Food Search, a meal is donated to someone in need. The app also allows users to recommend the participating restaurants to their friends.

“The last month has been a whirlwind for FoodShare,” said Glantz.
