Xbox gaming technology may improve X-ray precision​​​​

With the aim of producing high-quality X-rays with minimal radiation exposure, researchers at the School of Medicine have developed a new approach to imaging patients. Using proprietary software developed for the Microsoft Kinect system, the team has adapted hands-free technology used for the popular Xbox system to aid radiographers when taking X-rays.

Dance Theatre concert this weekend

Michio Ito is the forgotten pioneer of American modern dance. Yet Ito’s influence will be on full display in Edison Theatre Friday through Sunday, Dec. 4-6, when “Pavane,” a tribute choreographed by his niece, Taeko Ito, is featured in the Performing Arts Department’s annual Washington University Dance Theatre concert.

Fan bus, viewing party planned for women’s soccer

The women’s soccer team is playing in the NCAA Division III Semifinal at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, in Kansas City. The Department of Athletics is offering a fan bus to the game. Sign up by 8 p.m. today to attend. Those on campus can watch the game in the Danforth University Center.
