Staudt installed as inaugural Howard and Caroline Cayne Professor of Law

Nancy Staudt, JD, PhD, dean of the School of Law, has been installed as the inaugural Howard and Caroline Cayne Professor of Law. A lecture and reception to celebrate the occasion were held Oct. 22 in the Bryan Cave Moot Courtroom of Anheuser-Busch Hall.

Angela L. Brown, MD, associate professor of medicine, leads the Hypertension Clinic at the School of Medicine. Brown has devoted her career to helping patients control their hypertension and to training medical professionals in how to care for such patients.

More than half of black youth report that they or people they know were harassed by or experienced violence from the police, compared with one-third of white youth and one-quarter of Latino youth, finds a new report on black millennials by researchers at Washington University and the University of Chicago.

Time to enroll or make changes in health insurance

It’s time for faculty and staff to enroll in university health insurance plans for 2016. Presentations on the plans will be held at noon Tuesday, Nov. 10, in the McDonnell Science Building, on the Medical Campus, and Wednesday, Nov. 11, in the Mallinckrodt Center, on the Danforth Campus. The deadline to enroll or make changes is Nov. 30.
