For patients with an often-deadly form of leukemia, new research by the School of Medicine’s Timothy J. Ley, MD, and colleagues suggests that lingering cancer-related mutations – detected after initial treatment with chemotherapy – are associated with an increased risk of relapse and poor survival.

The Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum presents “World War I: War of Images, Images of War,” opening Sept. 11. Drawn primarily from the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles, the exhibition features more than 150 objects that together chart a chronological path from exuberant outbreak through years of grinding combat and into the long, unsettled aftermath.
