Crime-scene compound may be newest tool in fight against malaria​

The compound that detectives spray at crime scenes to find trace amounts of blood one day may be used to kill the malaria parasite, a new finding from School of Medicine researchers suggests. The senior author is Daniel Goldberg, MD, PhD.

New employee wellness challenge to launch

It’s time to get moving. Washington University faculty, staff, clinical fellows and postdoctoral appointees can sign up to participate in the next wellness challenge, WashU Moves. The program launches Wednesday, Sept. 2, and runs through Dec. 10. Each person’s goal is to walk 10,000 steps, or roughly 5 miles, per day.
