The Gephardt Institute for Civic and Community Engagement is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a new name, new initiatives and new funding for its acclaimed Civic Scholars program. The mission, however, remains: engaging citizens and building strong communities.

Marilyn Siegel, MD, a professor of radiology and of pediatrics at the School of Medicine, loves solving the puzzles her field presents and the opportunities it has given her. But most of all, she loves helping patients.

The Skandalaris Center has formed a unique partnership with Boeing’s Phantom Works Ventures, an entrepreneurial arm of the corporation. Students will have an opportunity to commercialize Boeing patents in non-aerospace applications. Information sessions are scheduled beginning Friday, Aug. 28.
