Discovery may open door for treating fragile X carriers

Fragile X syndrome, an inherited cause of autism and intellectual disability, can have consequences even for carriers of the disorder who don’t have full-blown symptoms. Azad Bonni, MD, PhD, and other researchers at the School of Medicine have identified a potential target for treatment for fragile X carriers.

Class Acts: Law student active with Law Review, admissions, volunteer work

Third-year law student Jonathan Adair has been active during his time here. He became involved with the School of Law admissions office after seeing how much they cared when he was applying. He also has been a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters, and this year, he is a senior editor of the Law Review and gaining real-world experience in the federal prosecutor’s office.

Obituary: Grant Farmer, postdoctoral research associate​, 36

Grant W. Farmer, PhD, a postdoctoral research associate at the School of Medicine and an adjunct professor at Saint Louis University, died unexpectedly April 7, 2015, at his home in Richmond Heights. He was 36.
