The Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts will present its 86th Annual Fashion Design Show at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 26. The choreographed, Paris-style extravaganza, which takes place in Union Station, will features dozens of models wearing scores of outfits by 27 sophomore, junior and senior designers.

U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt (left) visited the Medical Campus this week to learn more about research into Alzheimer’s disease. He spoke with researchers, including Randall Bateman, MD (right), patients and caregivers who live daily with the debilitating disease. Blunt is chair of a Senate subcommittee that oversees funding for medical research.

On a frosty winter’s night in 1909, five members of the Yale Glee Club convened at Mory’s Temple Bar to escape the cold. Thus was born the world’s oldest and best-known collegiate a cappella group. At 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 27, the Whiffenpoofs will be at E. Desmond Lee Concert Hall for a puckish evening of traditional and popular songs.

Stephanie Weyrauch (left) is a people person. She applied to the university’s Program in Physical Therapy because it combined all of her loves — science, research, treating people — in one profession. She even designed and presented a low back pain study during her time here. She will graduate next month with a doctorate in physical therapy and a master’s in clinical investigation.
