Lori S. White, PhD, has been named vice chancellor for students. She is currently vice president for student affairs at Southern Methodist University. The appointment is effective July 1, according to Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton. White succeeds Sharon Stahl, PhD, who will retire at the end of this academic year.

Medical students spend years learning to take care of others — but sometimes not enough time learning to take care of themselves, especially when it comes to mental health. In “Telegraph,” recent alumnus Will Jacobs — winner of the 2014 A.E. Hotchner Playwriting Competition — explores the wonder and shortcomings of communication technology. The Performing Arts Department presents the play Thursday through Sunday, April 16-19.
