The Los Angeles Piano Quartet, widely considered one of the premier ensembles in the United States, will perform new work by Washington University composer Christopher Stark at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 28, in the E. Desmond Lee Concert Hall. Stark’s “icy” composition was inspired by last year's events in Ferguson.

LeVar Burton, host and executive producer of “Reading Rainbow,” the award-winning PBS children’s series that aired from 1983-2009, will give an Assembly Series talk at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 2, in Graham Chapel. He will discuss how he has combined the power of storytelling with today’s technology to create a Reading Rainbow app accessible and relevant to today’s tech-savvy children.
