PAD's innovative 'Sky Sky Sky' begins Thursday

Can three human actors and a robot perform live theater? Watch as the Performing Arts Department in Arts & Sciences premieres the innovative "Sky Sky Sky" this weekend in the A.E. Hotchner Studio Theatre. The innovative drama was written by alum Elizabeth Birkenmeier.

Kidney cancer detected early with urine test

School of Medicine researchers Evan D. Kharasch, MD, PhD (left), and Jeremiah J. Morrissey, PhD, have developed a noninvasive method to screen for kidney cancer that involves measuring the presence of proteins in the urine. Early detection greatly improves chances of survival.

A feat of four-dimensional imagination

Ivan Horozov, PhD, the Chauvenet Lecturer in Mathematics in Arts & Sciences, uses great intellect and imagination to build three-dimensional projections of four-dimensional figures. He does this in his office in his spare time.

Active Transportation Month begins with bike tune-ups

​​Active Transportation Month, the annual promotion of alternative means of commuting, begins tomorrow, March 24, with bike tune-ups from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on the north side of the DUC. Other events will take place throughout the month of April.
