Child maltreatment underreported in Medicaid claims, study finds

Medicaid claims are a poor way to identify child abuse and neglect, according to a study led by Ramesh Raghavan, PhD, associate professor at the Brown School. Researchers should use other data to determine the scope of the problem, he says. The study was published in Child Maltreatment.

A new plan for Railway Exchange building

The Railway Exchange Building in downtown St. Louis is an icon, synonymous with holiday window displays, downtown shopping and civic pride. Yet since being vacated by Macy’s in 2013, the structure has sat largely empty. Now, the Partnership for Downtown St. Louis and the Sam Fox School are partnering to explore adaptive reuse strategies for the 21-story high-rise.

Board of Education Supreme Court decision to last month’s shooting death of Ferguson teenager Michael Brown.
