Fazzari to chair new sociology department

Steven Fazzari, PhD, a leading scholar on the relationship between rising income inequality and macroeconomic trends in the United States, will chair the recently re-established Department of Sociology. Barbara A. Schaal, PhD, dean of the Faculty of Arts & Sciences, made the announcement.

Japanese film crew talks stardust with physicists

Colditz to be honored next week for cancer prevention research

Graham Colditz, MD, DrPH, a disease-prevention expert at Siteman Cancer Center and the School of Medicine, will receive a national award for his contributions to cancer prevention research. The American Association for Cancer Research is honoring him next week.

​​Steven C. George, MD, PhD, chair of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, has been named the Elvera & William Stuckenberg Professor of Technology & Human Affairs. He was installed this week.
