Brain networks break down in a similar fashion in rare, inherited forms of Alzheimer’s disease and in much more common versions of the disorder, reveals a new study led by the School of Medicine’s Beau Ances, MD, PhD.

| Matthew W. Kreuter, PhD (right), was installed Sept. 2 by Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton as the inaugural holder of the Eugene S. and Constance Kahn Family Professorship in Public Health. Kreuter is a professor of social work and of medicine, associate dean for public health and a faculty scholar in the Institute for Public Health.

| As chair of the Architectural Association in London, Alvin Boyarsky was among the most influential figures in 20th-century design education. The Kemper presents “Drawing Ambience: Alvin Boyarsky and the Architectural Association,” the first public museum exhibition of drawings from Boyarsky’s private collection. The exhibit opens Friday, Sept. 12.
