Brain networks break down in a similar fashion in rare, inherited forms of Alzheimer’s disease and in much more common versions of the disorder, reveals a new study led by the School of Medicine’s Beau Ances, MD, PhD.

“Foundations of Diversity at Washington University and Throughout Academia” will be the focus of a campus conference Friday, Sept. 12, in honor of Robert L. Williams II, PhD, professor emeritus of psychology and of African and African-American studies, both in Arts & Sciences.

Kreuter installed as Eugene S. and Constance Kahn Family Professor of Public Health

Matthew W. Kreuter, PhD (right), was installed Sept. 2 by Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton as the inaugural holder of the Eugene S. and Constance Kahn Family Professorship in Public Health. Kreuter is a professor of social work and of medicine, associate dean for public health and a faculty scholar in the Institute for Public Health.

Kemper presents ‘Drawing Ambience,’ exhibit of Boyarsky’s collection

As chair of the Architectural Association in London, Alvin Boyarsky was among the most influential figures in 20th-century design education. The Kemper presents “Drawing Ambience: Alvin Boyarsky and the Architectural Association,” the first public museum exhibition of drawings from Boyarsky’s private collection. The exhibit opens Friday, Sept. 12.
