A world’s first: Siteman treats patients using MRI-guided radiation therapy​​​​​​​​​

​Physicians at Siteman Cancer Center are the first to treat patients using MRI-guided radiation therapy, a technology that allows tumors to be visualized during treatment. Shown is Wayne Kestler, 80, one of the first patients treated with the new technology.

Assembly Series: Groundbreaking neuroscientist to explore emotion and the brain

Neuroscientist Richard Davidson, PhD (left), a leading expert on the impact of practices such as meditation on the brain, will give the annual Witherspoon Lecture on Religion and Science. The Assembly Series address, “Change Your Brain by Transforming Your Mind,” will be at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, in Graham Chapel.

Kemper presents Shinohara Kazuo exhibition

Shinohara Kazua’s work has inspired generations of architects, but it seldom has been seen outside Japan. But this spring, the Kemper Art Museum presents “On the Thresholds of Space-Making,” the first U.S. museum show dedicated to the influential mathematician-turned-architect.

Teams of WUSTL students devoured buckets of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream last weekend at The Vermonster Challenge. The annual benefit in the Danforth University Center is sponsored by Mr. Wash. U. and Relay for Life.
