Creator of landmark sex equality laws to close out Assembly Series’ fall program

A principal architect of landmark sex equality laws in the U.S. will wrap up the fall 2013 programs of WUSTL’s Assembly Series and the School of Law’s Public Interest Law & Policy Speakers Series. Catharine MacKinnon, JD, PhD, who now focuses on halting human trafficking, will speak Thursday, Nov. 14.

NIH support fosters diversity among PhD trainees

WUSTL has received a $1.8 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to foster student diversity in its PhD training program in the biomedical sciences. Pictured are inaugural scholars from the program.

Semester Online welcomes Trinity College Dublin and University of Melbourne

In the spring, WUSTL students may take a variety of Semester Online courses ranging from Trinity College Dublin’s “Ireland and Rebellion” to Wake Forest’s “Introduction to Bioethics.” The online consortium now boasts 21 top peer institutions.

WUSTL’s Lifelong Learning Institute to host information session for prospective members

WUSTL’s Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) will host an information session titled “Show Me LLI” for prospective members from 1-3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at the university’s West Campus. The event will feature an overall orientation followed by several sample classes. It is free and open to adults ages 55 and older.

Arts & Sciences gets in the spirit with Trick
or Tweet
