Stroke prevention surgery less effective than meds, lifestyle change

The final results of a stroke-prevention study in patients with narrowed brain arteries confirm earlier findings: Medication plus lifestyle changes are safer and more effective for preventing stroke than a surgical technique called stenting. Luenemann will not return as volleyball coach

Obituary: WUSTL senior Yongsang Soh, 22

WUSTL senior Yongsang Soh died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013. A memorial service open to the WUSTL community will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, in the Women’s Building Formal Lounge. The university flag will be at half-staff in his memory through the weekend.

The WUSTL Police Department will implement its “Don’t be in the Dark” safety program to educate students about safely walking after dark beginning the evening of Monday, Nov. 4, and continuing through Thursday, Nov. 7.
