The No. 22 WUSTL men’s basketball team will host Spalding University in the first round of the 2013 NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Championship Saturday, March 2, at the Field House. Game time is 7 p.m.

Ralph G. Dacey Jr., MD (left), the Henry G. and Edith R. Schwartz Professor and chair of the Department of Neurological Surgery, has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Among other contributions, Dacey helped establish an exchange program for neurosurgery residents between the School of Medicine and the National Centre for Neurosurgery in Dublin.

WUSTL students, postdoctoral researchers and faculty members will be on hand at the St. Louis Science Center Saturday to explain the brain and their brain research to interested visitors. NeuroDay is a free brain science expo featuring hands-on activities and demonstrations. Visitors even can hold a real human brain.

Georges Braque’s midcareer paintings demonstrate a profound interest in the painting process and in the possibilities of his materials. Today, Patricia Favero, associate conservator for The Phillips Collection in Washington, D.C., will discuss Braque’s technique, in conjunction with the exhibition Georges Braque and the Cubist Still Life, 1928-45.
