Faculty, staff and students commuting to campus are encouraged to leave their sedans, SUVs and minivans in the garage and go “car-free” April 16-27 as part of the university’s Car-Free Challenge. The challenge invites teams of individuals to try alternative means of transportation, track progress in calories-burned and CO2-saved, and benchmark against other teams.

Her lecture will take place at 4:30 p.m. in the Women’s Building Formal Lounge.

Students in the Program in Occupational Therapy worked with area drivers during a ‘CarFit’ event March 31 at the School of Medicine. During the event, the students evaluated older drivers to make sure they fit inside their vehicles properly for maximum safety. Correct fit is assessed through a 12-point checklist.

Students competed in tug-of-war during the 2012 Residential College Olympics March 31 on the South 40. This popular, annual event pits residential colleges against each other in a day filled with fun activities. This year, Park/Mudd Residential College took first place overall.

The No. 2 women’s golf team fired a two-day total score of 611 (304-307) to tie for first place at the inaugural WUSTL Spring Invitational March 31-April 1 at Gateway National Golf Links in Madison, Ill. The team returns to action Saturday and Sunday, April 14 and 15, at the Illinois Wesleyan University Spring Fling in Normal, Ill.
