Instead of throwing items away, the “Share Our Stuff” (SOS) program encourages students who are either moving-in or moving-out to reduce waste and share goods with those in need in the St. Louis region. SOS hosts drop-off points at Danforth Campus residential areas and off-campus.

Prestigious national scholarships awarded to five undergraduates
Five WUSTL juniors have been awarded prestigious national scholarships. Winners of the Goldwater Scholarship are Rachel Greenstein, Jennifer Head and Jenny Liu; winners of the Udall Scholarship are Madeleine Daepp and Jeremy Pivor.

In new research from the School of Medicine, scientists have shown how an unusual protein plays a key role in temporarily blocking the movement of ions through channels embedded in cell membranes. Preventing ions from moving through the channel gives cells time to recharge so that they can continue firing.
