WUSTL is once again partnering with Operation Food Search to coordinate the 2nd annual campus-wide food drive, PB&Joy. Last year, the university collected nearly three tons of food. The campaign runs from Thursday, April 5, through Monday, April 16, and all faculty, staff and students are urged to participate.

Lee E. Ohanian, PhD, professor of economics at the University of California, Los Angeles, will present “Depressions, Crises, and Economic Policy: The 1930s and Today” for the inaugural Lloyd Cole Lecture at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, in the Danforth University Center, Room 276.

Harvard Scholar Martin Puncher, PhD, will present the 10th Helen Clanton Morrin Lecture, “Plato & Modern Drama,” at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 5, for the Performing Arts Department (PAD) in Arts & Sciences. In his book The Drama of Ideas, Puncher asserts that the histories of philosophy and theater are crucially intertwined.

Patients and staff in several Barnes-Jewish Hospital resident clinics began moving into the 12-story Center for Outpatient Health at the corner of Forest Park and Euclid avenues March 12. Most of the clinics were relocated by the end of March, and all moves should be complete by the end of spring.

The final blood drive for the academic year will take place Wednesday, April 4, at a variety of locations and times on both the Danforth and Medical campuses. All students, staff and faculty are encouraged to participate. Each WUSTL blood drive collects approximately 400 units of blood, which save 1,200 lives.
