People of all ages can develop winter blues or seasonal affective disorder (SAD), a type of clinical depression that occurs typically during the fall and winter and resolves itself by spring. Eric Lenze, MD, professor of psychiatry at the School of Medicine, says bright light therapy is the treatment of choice for seasonal affective disorder.

The No. 25 men’s basketball team snapped Emory University’s 17-game home winning streak with a 92-83 victory Feb. 5 in Atlanta. The team plays its final regular-season home games this weekend, hosting Case Western Reserve University at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1o, and Carnegie Mellon University at noon Sunday, Feb. 12.
