Students living in on-campus housing are shutting off lights, sharing fridges and unplugging their device chargers to win the WUSTL Green Cup. The Green Cup recognizes the South 40 residential college, North Side team and fraternity that reduces its energy use by the highest percentage during a four-week competition, which begins Wednesday, Feb. 1.

WUSTL ushered in the Lunar New Year with a fireworks show Jan. 22 on Mudd Field. The Lunar New Year — observed this year on Jan. 23 — is one of the most important traditional Asian holidays. The celebration continues this weekend with two high-spirited performances at 7 p.m. Jan. 27 and 28 in Edison Theatre.

A Jan. 14 winter concert showcased the musical talents of School of Medicine faculty, staff, residents and students. The event, held in the lobby of the Center for Advanced Medicine, was sponsored by the Department of Pathology and Immunology and the Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital’s Arts + Healthcare Program.
