Symposium examines International Criminal Court at 10th anniversary

The “International Criminal Court at Ten” will attract attorneys and professionals from across the globe to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the court’s founding. The meeting takes place Sunday, Nov. 11, and Monday, Nov. 12, at the School of Law.

Community forum on U.S. prison system Nov. 8

WUSTL students, in collaboration with the Missouri History Museum and the Gephardt Institute of Public Service, will present a two-part community forum on the evolution of the U.S. prison-industrial complex, titled “The Criminal Brand: America’s Invisible Class,” at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at the Missouri History Museum.

Art project recycles laboratory waste

Every day, WUSTL laboratories must dispose of boxes, bubble wrap, packing supplies and other waste items. In the United States, packaging makes up about one-third of municipal solid waste. A recent student-led project — involving the School of Medicine, the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts and Environmental Health & Safety  — is now working to transform the waste into art.

Cross country competes
at Red & White Open

The men’s and women’s cross country teams both finished second at the North Central College Red & White Open Thursday. The teams compete in the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships Saturday, Nov. 10, in Oshkosh, Wis.
