Free tool offers one-stop access to state legislation information

A budget-friendly tool that allows for effective cross-state comparison of legislation from 50 public domain state legislative databases was created by researchers at the Prevention Research Center in St. Louis (PRC StL). PRC StL is a collaboration between the School of Medicine and the Brown School and the Saint Louis University School of Public Health.

Gary K. Ackers, PhD, professor emeritus, died from problems related to early-onset Alzheimer’s disease May 20, 2011, in Oro Valley, Ariz. He was 71.

Umrath closes for renovations

Umrath Hall closed June 20 for a complete renovation of the interior of the building and a new roof and roofing structure. It is scheduled to reopen June 2012.

Summer Film Series focuses on Frankenstein

The Summer School in Arts & Sciences presents a summer film series celebrating Frankenstein movies. The next movie is Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, in Room 110, January Hall. All screenings are free and open to the public.

Tennis’ Stein named Academic All-American

Tennis player Isaac Stein capped a four-year career by earning 2011 Capital One First-Team Academic All-America honors. Stein is the second three-time Academic All-America selection in WUSTL men’s tennis history. He earned third-team honors in 2009 and first-team accolades in 2010.
