Gerald Early, the Merle Kling Professor of Modern Letters in Arts & Sciences, is a consultant working with the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown to organize “The Souls of the Game: Voices of Black Baseball.” The new exhibit will open May 25.

Henric Krawczynski was installed as the Wilfred R. and Ann Lee Konneker Distinguished Professor of Physics in Arts & Sciences during a recent ceremony. His installation lecture was titled “The Bright Side of Black Holes.”

Nathaniel Huebsch, at the McKelvey School of Engineering, has won a National Science Foundation CAREER award. Huebsch will use the five-year $695,746 award to grow heart muscle in the lab that is more representative of adult tissue, to better predict how drugs will affect patients’ hearts.
