Acclaimed orchestra Tafelmusik to perform Sunday

Tafelmusik, “one of the world’s top Baroque orchestras” (Gramophone magazine), and “perpetually fabulous” (Boston Globe) violinist Aisslinn Nosky, will present “Passions Revealed,” a program exploring Baroque music’s potential to stir the soul. The performance will take place at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 3, in the 560 Music Center’s E. Desmond Lee Concert Hall as part of the Great Artists Series.

NCAA Tournament: WashU vs. Wisconsin Lutheran

6:50 p.m. Friday, March 1

The Bears men’s basketball team will host the first round of the NCAA Division III tournament against Wisconsin Lutheran College. If the Bears win, the team will play again Saturday, March 2. Athletic Complex Field House.

Forum on suburban inequality

Andrew Reeves, director of the Weidenbaum Center, will moderate a forum on suburban inequality in education. The event will feature Nadirah Farah Foley, in Arts & Sciences, and Jerome Ellis Morris, of the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Anheuser-Busch Hall, Bryan Cave Moot Courtroom.

Power of Arts & Sciences: Early on Black baseball

5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 6

Gerald Early, the Merle Kling Professor of Modern Letters in Arts & Sciences, will discuss his work as a consultant to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum’s newly renovated exhibit on Black baseball. The event, part of the Power of Arts & Sciences series, will take place in Knight Hall’s Emerson Auditorium.

Take Care Health Fair to support wellness

10 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 12

Join the Department of Human Resources for a variety of well-being activities including an on-site health screening event and fitness assessments from WashU Physical Therapy. The fair will take place in the Eric P. Newman Education Center on the Medical Campus.

Video Art Series: ‘Space mapping’

The Kemper Art Museum will present a series of contemporary video works selected by artist Kahlil Robert Irving in coordination with his exhibition, “Archaeology of the Present.” The series will include seven videos that highlight Black people in different time periods and settings. The series will be on display through July 29.
