WashU Mini-City a test for autonomous vehicles

Researchers to study viruses, wildlife interaction in Uganda

Red colobus monkeys are the most threatened group of African monkeys. With a grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), a WashU team will model viral transmission dynamics among red colobus monkeys and their human neighbors in Uganda.

Virginia Herrmann, MD, breast cancer specialist, 73

Virginia Herrmann, MD, a distinguished breast cancer specialist and past co-director of the breast surgery program at the School of Medicine, died Oct. 16 at her home in St. Louis following a two-year battle with cancer. She was 73.
