Washington University has launched the AI for Health Institute to design data-driven tools to characterize complex diseases, support clinical decisions and drive precision health. Chenyang Lu, at the McKelvey School of Engineering, is the inaugural director.

With a $450,000 National Science Foundation grant, Srikanth Singamaneni at the McKelvey School of Engineering will develop a method to image and quantify protein secretion at extremely high resolutions, down to the level of a single cell.
