Perspectives

Lowry publishes work of fiction looking at climate change’s effects

William Lowry, a professor emeritus of political science in Arts & Sciences, has written his first fiction book, “The Last Sanctuary,” a story of devastation, survival and hope. Devastation occurs when climate-change-induced disasters trigger a nuclear war that kills most of the Earth’s population. A small group of survivors searches for a new home.
