Fauci to speak at medical school’s Commencement

Anthony S. Fauci, MD, retired director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and a medical adviser to seven U.S. presidents, will address graduating MD and MD/PhD students at the School of Medicine at their Commencement ceremony May 15.

WashU sophomore Emma Lembke testified Feb. 14 before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee about how social media harms young people. Lembke is the founder of Log Off, an organization that raises awareness about social media’s impact on teen mental health.

The Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum has received a preservation assistance grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. The grant supports an assessment of 157 works on paper from the museum’s permanent collection, all from the 15th to 18th centuries.
