‘Into the Woods’ opens Friday

The Performing Arts Department in Arts & Sciences will present a new production of the Tony Award-winning classic “Into the Woods,” opening Friday, Oct. 21, with performances continuing through Oct. 30 in Edison Theatre. The Stephen Sondheim play is a sly deconstruction of beloved fairy tales.

Dante Lauretta, a professor at the University of Arizona and a WashU alumnus, will present the 2022 Robert M. Walker Distinguished Lecture, offering an insider’s account of NASA’s OSIRIS-REx asteroid sample return mission, which he leads. Whitaker Hall, Room 100, and on Zoom.
