Four elected to National Academy of Medicine

School of Medicine faculty members Opeolu M. Adeoye, MD (left), Farshid Guilak, PhD, David H. Gutmann, MD, PhD, and Jonathan Kipnis, PhD, have been elected to the National Academy of Medicine, part of the National Academy of Sciences. It is among the highest honors in the health and medicine fields.

Holocaust survivor art exhibit opens Thursday

“Lest We Forget,” a public art installation by noted Italian-German photographer Luigi Toscano, will open Thursday, Oct. 20, in Ann and Andrew Tisch Park on the Danforth Campus. The exhibition will feature nearly 100 contemporary large-scale portraits of Holocaust survivors — including 12 who now live in St. Louis.

The Pivot 314 Fellowship Program for graduate and professional students is accepting applications for its latest cohort. The application deadline is Nov. 14.
