Sam Fox School Visual Art Faculty Exhibition open

The Sam Fox School Visual Art Faculty Exhibition is now open at the Des Lee Gallery in downtown St. Louis. Ten artists are featured in Part 1. The show will be on view through Oct. 9. Part 2 of this series, featuring additional visual art faculty, is scheduled to take place next September.

The Department of English in Arts & Sciences welcomes award-winning poet and Visiting Hurst Professor Roger Reeves for a reading of his poems. Reeves’ work has appeared in several poetry journals. His forthcoming book is titled “Best Barbarian.”

A memorial service celebrating the life of Chancellor Emeritus William H. Danforth, MD, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, in Graham Chapel. A livestreamed broadcast of the service can be viewed in Brookings Quadrangle and Edison Theatre or online.

‘Classical Chinese Literature’ exhibit

University Libraries presents an exhibit inspired by Chinese culture and literature. The exhibit, on display in Olin Library’s Thomas Gallery through Dec. 17, features works from the East Asian Library’s collection and highlights the horse as an important symbol in Chinese arts.
