Panel at 2018 Sports Business Summit

Olin hosts annual Sports Business Summit

Olin Business School will host the annual daylong Sports Business Summit virtually this year on Nov. 6. After a largely fan-free start to the baseball and football seasons, the sports industry has gained new insights for navigating the pandemic. Speakers will address several topics, among them social justice in sports and trends in sports analytics.

Fashion designer and photographer Scott Sternberg, a 1997 alum, will speak on maintaining fashion brand, brand identity and how COVID-19 is changing the fashion business. The moderator will be the Sam Fox School’s Mary Ruppert-Stroescu.

MFA Lecture: Corey Escoto

Multidisciplinary artist and alum Corey Escoto will present this talk in the MFA Lecture Series. Escoto’s photographs both embody and examine the idea of illusion building, and by extension reinforce the causal relationship between the events that comprise the contemporary social and political everyday.
