Olin hosts annual Sports Business Summit

Olin Business School will host the annual daylong Sports Business Summit virtually this year on Nov. 6. After a largely fan-free start to the baseball and football seasons, the sports industry has gained new insights for navigating the pandemic. Speakers will address several topics, among them social justice in sports and trends in sports analytics.

A conversation with Scott Sternberg

Fashion designer and photographer Scott Sternberg, a 1997 alum, will speak on maintaining fashion brand, brand identity and how COVID-19 is changing the fashion business. The moderator will be the Sam Fox School’s Mary Ruppert-Stroescu.

MFA Lecture: Corey Escoto

6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3

Multidisciplinary artist and alum Corey Escoto will present this talk in the MFA Lecture Series. Escoto’s photographs both embody and examine the idea of illusion building, and by extension reinforce the causal relationship between the events that comprise the contemporary social and political everyday.

Assembly Series on law and access to medicine

1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2

The School of Law’s Leila Sadat and Judit Rius Sanjuan of the United Nations Development Program will discuss the implications of using law to enhance innovation and global access to medicines, vaccines and health technologies. This event is part of the Public Interest Law & Policy Speaker Series.
