Former Congressman Gephardt part of panel on election integrity

Former Congressman Richard Gephardt does not know who will win the 2020 presidential election. Nor does he know when the race will be called. But Gephardt does believe the election will be safe, secure and fair. Gephardt will join former U.S. representatives from both parties Tuesday, Oct. 27, for a panel discussion, “Counting Every Vote: Election Integrity in 2020.”

Career strategist Joyce Trimuel, an Olin Business School alumna, will discuss the importance of active inclusion and how it extends well beyond representation. She will address our collective and individual responsibility in creating an inclusive culture.

‘Faith, Hollywood and Presidential Rhetoric’

5–6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27

American Culture Studies’ fall Americanist Dinner Forum will feature a discussion with Purdue University’s Kathryn Brownell along with Wayne Fields and Abram Van Engen of Arts & Sciences. The discussion will explore how celebrity, presidential rhetoric and American exceptionalism have shaped the 2020 presidential election and beyond.

Chinese-language tour: public art on campus

Experience a virtual tour of works on the Danforth Campus by artists such as Jaume Plensa, Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle, Alexander Calder and Dan Graham. The exhibition considers how public art interacts with people, the environment and history. Student educator Lingran Zhang will lead the tour at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23.
