Holly Gabelmann in Edison Theatre

Aspiring playwrights (virtually) debut new work this weekend

Cheryl is charming and vivacious. Cheryl is selfish and unreliable. In her new comedy “Cheryl Robs a Bank,” which will debut as part of the A.E. Hotchner New Play Festival, graduate student Holly Gabelmann explores questions of identity, self-presentation, anti-heroism and who gets to tell the story. The play, directed by William Whitaker, professor of the practice in drama in Arts & Sciences, will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16.
