‘Multiplied: Edition MAT and the Transformable Work of Art’

In the late 1950s and early 1960s, Daniel Spoerri recruited dozens of leading artists to create and edition nearly 50 transformable, participatory artworks as multiples — a term Spoerri helped to coin. The Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum presents “Multiplied: Edition MAT and the Transformable Work of Art,” the first major U.S. exhibition to survey the entirety of Spoerri’s pioneering project, opening Friday, Feb. 7.

Former Nigerian president to keynote Olin Africa Business Forum gala

Olusegun Obasanjo, an economic innovator in Africa and former leader of Nigeria, will make his first visit to the Midwest to kick off the third annual Olin Africa Business Forum. Cortex Innovation Hall. Note: His address was moved from Friday, Feb. 7, to tonight.

Green labs info session

Launching this year, the Green Labs Program is addressing energy use, resource dependency and waste generation from WashU labs by providing resources to labs that commit to go green. Medical Campus, Farrell Learning and Teaching Center, Holden Auditorium. (A Danforth Campus session is scheduled Feb. 12.)

Jennifer Hirsch, professor at Columbia University, is co-author of the book “Sexual Citizens: A Landmark Study of Sex, Power, and Assault on Campus.” She will discuss critical questions surrounding sexual assault on college campuses for an Assembly Series event.
