‘Seasonal Music’ in the age of climate change

New York’s acclaimed Momenta String Quartet will perform a new work by Christopher Stark of Arts & Sciences, along with pieces by Roberto Sierra and György Ligeti, Nov. 17 in the 560 Music Center.

The Bridge performs a free jazz concert. The group aims to form a network, allowing French and American musicians to regularly work together on projects. The Bridge #2.2 residency is in partnership with the Cultural Services of the French Embassy of the United States. 560 Music Center.

Join the Needleman Center for Neurometabolism and Axonal Therapeutics for a symposium. The keynote speaker is Thomas Schwarz of Harvard University, whose talk is titled “Moving and Removing Neuronal Mitochondria.” Medical Campus, Newman Education Center, Seminar Room B.

Assembly Series lecture on the future of aerospace

David McBride, director of NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center in Edwards, Calif., will discuss the future of aerospace engineering, including the next generation of NASA X-planes and returning astronauts to the moon by 2024. Whitaker Hall Auditorium.

The annual interdisciplinary exhibition is an opportunity for creators of all types, disciplines and ages to display their work. All projects were made by a member of the WashU community. An opening reception will take place from 5-7 p.m. today in the Skandalaris Center in Mallinckrodt Center. The works will be on display until 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16.
