Sociologist Adia Harvey Wingfield, in Arts & Sciences, gives a presentation about her latest book, “Flatlining: Race, Work, and Health Care in the New Economy.” Her research examines how and why racial and gender inequality persists in professional occupations. Medical Campus, North Building, Moore Auditorium. A second session will be held later that day.

Beth Prusaczyk, instructor at the School of Medicine, will discuss in-person policy advocacy. Her research focuses on how to effectively implement evidence-based practices that improve older adults’ health. Medical Campus, Couch Biomedical Research Building, Room 4001B.

Retired Col. Frank Sobchak is co-author of the “U.S. Army in the Iraq War” report, the first U.S. government history of the war. Sobchak will give an Assembly Series lecture, part of the Crisis & Conflict in Historical Perspective initiative. Busch Hall, Room 100.
