A hint of spring: ‘The Pastime is Prologue’

Faculty members Gerald Early, of Arts & Sciences, and Douglas Dowd, of the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts, will join in a discussion about Major League Baseball’s influence on pop culture. The event, including a display of baseball memorabilia, will begin at 4 p.m. today in Olin Library.

International Women’s Day: women reformers

Noon Friday, March 8

Linda H. Collins, who teaches at St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley, gives a presentation focused on Missouri women who challenged gender inequity such as Virginia Minor, who fought for women’s suffrage, and Frankie Freeman, a civil rights lawyer.
