In 2014, radiologists at the School of Medicine scanned three ancient mummies in hopes of finding clues to their lives and deaths. Their findings are included in a newly opened permanent exhibit featuring the mummies at the Saint Louis Art Museum.
The latest cycle of the LEAP Inventor Challenge has wrapped up, and five university research teams will receive funding to turn concepts into viable products. Their ideas range from wound closure to water treatment to disease management.
An international research team, led by Olin Business School, studied vocal expressions uttered by people in the United States, Australia, India, Kenya and Singapore. The team found that people were better at judging emotions from fellow countrymen.
