The School of Medicine plans to review and revise the medical education curriculum to reflect changes in the health-care industry while also broadening the skills of students in health technology and other areas.
A group of pre-medical students started a program called Healthy Humans, an effort to teach the science and practical skills of healthy eating and cooking to low-income youth. The program received a grant from the Gephardt Institute’s Civic Engagement Fund.
