Jeffrey F. Moley, professor of surgery, cancer researcher, 64

Jeffrey Fletcher Moley, MD, a highly regarded professor of surgery and chief of the Section of Endocrine and Oncologic Surgery at the School of Medicine, died Oct. 15 at his home in Kirkwood. He was 64. A memorial service will be held this afternoon in Kirkwood.

The peer-reviewed journal Revista de Estudios Hispanicos has received the 2017 Respo Award from the hispanistas.com blog. Faculty and staff in Romance languages and literatures in Arts & Sciences make up the journal’s editorial board.

Research Wire

Dmitriy Yablonskiy, professor of radiology at the School of Medicine, received a five-year, nearly $2.7 million grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for a research project titled “In vivo MRI biomarkers of microstructural correlates of brain pathology in preclinical and early Alzheimer disease.”
