‘Frankenstein’ featured in fall Assembly Series lineup

The Assembly Series, the university’s signature lecture series, begins its fall program Sept. 7 with an event with playwright Nick Dear, kicking off a universitywide, yearlong initiative on the 200-year-old story of “Frankenstein.”

Test uses nanotechnology to quickly diagnose Zika virus

Brown School awarded $1.8 million grant for tobacco control

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) awarded $1.8 million to the Brown School to increase the sustainability of evidence-based tobacco control programs and policies. Sarah Moreland-Russell is the principal investigator.

WashU Expert: Ethics and physician-assisted death

Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia are becoming more prevalent. Medical ethics expert Rebecca Dresser said U.S. officials should thoroughly consider the moral and social consequences of any push to legalize physician-assisted death in dementia cases.
