Vaginal bacteria can trigger recurrent UTIs, study shows

A new study at the School of Medicine has uncovered a trigger of recurrent urinary tract infections: a type of vaginal bacteria that moves into the urinary tract.

Alum Taksler on campus to discuss film for Assembly Series

Sara Taksler, alumna, filmmaker and “Daily Show” senior producer, will be on campus Friday, April 7, to show and discuss her documentary, “Tickling Giants,” about a man known as the “Jon Stewart of Egypt.” The event begins at 3:30 p.m. in Wilson Hall.

WashU Expert: What’s next after Clean Power Plan executive order

The Environmental Protection Agency is taking its next steps to replace the Clean Power Plan. University engineer Richard Axelbaum, who studies fossil fuel combustion, said the move will make it difficult for power providers to plan for the future.
