Database to collect research on cancer mutations

School of Medicine researchers developed an online “knowledgebase” intended to gather and organize the vast body of knowledge known as cancer genomics. The hope is that clinicians can better identify mutations in tumors and targeted drugs.

I-CARES leader to study organisms in ocean

Himadri Pakrasi, director of the International Center for Advanced Renewable Energy and Sustainability, received a $1 million grant from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation to study tiny organisms and algae in the ocean.

Arts & Sciences plans variety of lectures

This spring, departments in Arts & Sciences are bringing in a variety of speakers well known in their fields for named lectures, on topics from early Christianity to mathematics to Pluto. The speakers help broaden conversations at the university.
