African and African-American Studies to become full department

Founded in 1969, the African and African-American Studies program was among the nation’s first. This spring, the university will mark a new chapter when the program becomes a department in Arts & Sciences.

New Danforth Campus parking plan details announced

More details are available about the parking plan that will take effect following Commencement in May. The new transportation strategy better aligns demand with usage and positions resources for both current and future needs.

For some COPD patients, portable oxygen offers no benefit

Patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) often receive portable oxygen therapy to allow them to breathe easier. But a major study published in The New England Journal of Medicine indicates that supplemental oxygen isn’t helpful for many patients.

Darwin scholar to wrap up fall Assembly Series

Darwin scholar Gregory Radick will present the final Assembly Series lecture of the fall semester. He will speak on “How and Why Darwin Got Emotional About Race” at 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, in Rebstock Hall.
