Building smarter, safer infrastructure

University engineers are turning to small sensors and cloud computing for a smarter self-monitoring solution that can better sound the alarm on infrastructure failure. The concept’s first test will begin today when sensors are installed on a Michigan bridge.

Med school study examines firearms in the home

A School of Medicine survey of parents in Missouri and Illinois reveals that about half of children in the families queried spent time in homes with firearms. But few reported discussing gun safety with pediatricians.

Packnett to speak for Assembly Series Monday
